Superbowl Sunday is just around the corner, and if you are hosting the party, you better be sure to up your snack game! Baking sheet nachos are delicious and easy to make in small or large batches – so if you’re feeding a crowd, we’ve got your back. Here’s a simple recipe to satisfy your guests’ tastebuds and tummies, without having to slave away in the kitchen. Plus, you won’t have to use any extra dishes, because if you are using a de Buyer baking sheet, it’ll look great on the table – so you can skip the serving platters!
Ingredients
- 1 16oz bag of tortilla chips
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped finely
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 Tbsp tomato paste
- 1 Tbsp taco seasoning
- 1 tsp cumin
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese
- Fresh cilantro
- Jalapeno peppers, thinly sliced
- Fresh or pickled onion
- Salsa, pico de gallo, or fresh cherry tomatoes
- Guacamole
- Sour cream
Instructions
Step 1. Preheat the oven the 375F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat
Step 2. In a large fry pan, saute the chopped onions and garlic until the onion is translucent and garlic is fragrant.
Step 3. Add the ground beef, taco seasoning, cumin, cayenne pepper, and salt and pepper and combine, breaking up the meat into small pieces.
Step 4. Add tomato paste and mix in with the ground beef.
Step 5. On the baking sheet, layer the tortilla chips, cooked ground beef, and shredded cheese and place in the oven. Bake until cheese has melted, 8-10 minutes.
Step 6. Top it off with your preferred nacho toppings and serve!
