Are de Buyer products made in France?
Besides a few exceptions, all our products are made in France in our very own factory located in the beautiful Vosges Region. This is where we have been conceiving, engineering and manufacturing all our products since 1830. For the few products that are not manufactured in France, it is because despite all our efforts, we couldn't find the necessary skillset or machinery locally. In any case, we always source the materials with the best providers.
Does your cookware work on induction stovetops?
Not all of it. The stovetop compatibility is indicated on each product page, and we recommend that you follow the instructions. Using a non-induction piece of cookware on an induction stovetop can create warping or worse. To learn more about our induction cookware, please consult this page.
Are de Buyer utensils dishwasher safe?
Our cookware is not dishwasher safe, and we generally recommend to hand wash all your cookware utensils. Some of our bakeware is dishwasher safe. To be sure, please consult the Use and Care tab on the product page.

Do de Buyer pans come with a lifetime warranty?
Are de Buyer Steel pans pre-seasoned?
Our Carbon Steel and Blue Steel pans are not pre-seasoned when you buy them. They are coated with a thin layer beeswax to protect them from rusting. The beeswax should be washed off prior to first use, but any wax that remains after washing will help the seasoning process. For more information about our seasoning process, you can consult any of the product pages or follow this link.
