Forget about store-bought jams and jellies, this mixed berry jam recipe will be your new JAM!
Make it fresh using your Copper Jam Pan or AFFINITY Sauté Pan and serve it up with some baked brie, top off your crepes, or upgrade a classic PB&J Sandwich.
The best part – you can swap out the berries for any fruit or berries that you like, so you can have your favorite jam all the time!
Ingredients
- 2 cups frozen blueberries
- 2 cups frozen cherries
- 2 gala apples
- Juice of 1 orange (or ½ a lemon)
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 2 tbsp honey (optional)
- 1 tbsp gelatin (optional)
Instructions
Step 1. Remove the core from the apples and dice them up, add to pan and turn on the stove to medium-low heat.
Step 2. Add frozen blueberries, frozen cherries, and orange/lemon juice, stir to combine.
Step 3. Once the frozen berries begin to melt and release juices, add chia seeds and stir to combine. Allow the contents of the pan to simmer and reduce for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. If you prefer to add sweetness, add in the honey, and stir
Step 4. Optional: if you prefer a smoother consistency, use an immersion blender to blend up the contents of the pan. You can also add a spoonful of gelatin and combine well if you prefer a more jelly-like consistency.
Step 5. Serve it up warm with some baked brie and crostini, or place into jars and enjoy it later!
