Copper Jam Pan
Copper Jam Pan
The de Buyer guarantee
Since 1830, every de Buyer utensil has been conceived and designed in France following the most stringent quality requirements. The majority of our products, and specifically our cookware, are engineered and manufactured in our factory in France. The few exceptions are products, such as some silicone and bakeware utensils, that use manufacturing processes that cannot be sourced in France. Such partners, wherever they are in the world, are always selected according to our high standards of quality and integrity.
We believe in producing and offering our customers the
highest quality products across all of our product lines, following responsible manufacturing processes. Our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility has been recognized as Exemplary by AFNOR, and we strongly
believe in integrating social and environmental practices into every aspect of creating high quality cookware and bakeware.
From the Chefs we partner with to the individuals working at all levels of our company, everyone involved in making a de Buyer product is inhabited by the same passion: allowing passionate cooks and bakers like you to thrive in the kitchen.
The "Corporate Social Responsibility” (CSR) commitment label that we received in 2018 is the recognition of our efforts in fields like environmental protection and workplace safety and inclusivity, whether internally or among our partners. de Buyer is the first and only French company in the culinary industry to receive this label.

About this product
Like the name suggests, the Copper Jam Pan is the best vessel to make home made jams, jellies, and preserves with. The solid copper helps to extract the sugars from fruit and bring it to a boil. Copper is the most heat conductive material to cook with. The copper heats rapidly and cools quickly when removed from heat, giving you total control.
Add a touch of luxury to your kitchen with the Copper Jam Pan. The quality of this pan is unmatched, composed of 100% copper and cast iron handles. This copper cookware is suitable for use with all types of cooktops, except induction . The copper body provides rapid heat conductivity and control, while the stainless steel lining protects against the elements of copper.
Handmade in France. 100% Copper. Cast iron handle. Diameter: 15.75" Capacity: 12.7qt 1.7mm thick Height: 5.7
Are de Buyer Copper pans made in France?
Yes, all our Inocuivre and Prima Matera pans are made in France, in our own factory located in the beautiful region of Vosges. The de Buyer factory has been in operation since 1830, and mixes tradition and state-of-the art technology.
What is the difference between Inocuivre and Prima Matera?
Besides the difference in style, Prima Matera is specifically designed to work with all cooking surfaces including induction, thanks to a magnetic stainless-steel layer that has been added to the bottom of each pan or pot. Our Inocuivre line doesn’t have this bottom for induction stovetops. The Inocuivre line offers different styles of handles, made either of brass or iron.
What is de Buyer copper cookware made of?
Both our Prima Matera and our Inocuivre lines are made of 90% copper, and of 10% stainless steel for the inner surface. While it is the best heat conductor of all materials, copper can create reactions with certain foods. This is why our copper cookware is lined with high quality stainless steel. The handles come in different materials: cast stainless steel, brass or iron.
What makes de Buyer copper cookware different from others?
Our copper cookware is true to its name since it contains 90% copper. Many cookware brands on the market actually use less than 10% copper in their “copper” cookware lines, mostly as a plating for the outside look.
Can I use all types of utensils with my copper pans, including metal ones?
Although you can use metal objects in both Prima Matera and Inocuivre, use them with caution, so you don’t scratch the stainless-steel surface of your pan. We recommend using other types of utensils such as wood or silicon.
How can I keep my copper pans clean and shiny?
We recommend using our “Copper Cleaner” polishing paste, sold on our website. It is easy to use and will keep your copper cookware looking beautiful and shiny indefinitely. Use it to prevent tarnishing, and for normal upkeep of your copper cookware. You can also embrace the natural patina that you will get over time.
Use & Care
Not dishwasher safe. Oven safe. Let copper cool before washing. Handash with soap and water, do not use any harsh or abrasive products. Use our copper cleaner to maintain color and shine. Soak in water and white vinegar to remove oxidation. Not induction safe.
